The most famous market in Melbourne is Queen Victoria Market which is over 100 years old. This market is a one-stop shop for buying fresh produce and meat as well as souvenirs, clothing, bags, accessories and so much more.

The South Melbourne Market is another large permanent market in Melbourne which first opened in the late 1860s. Today, the market is still operating in its original site in South Melbourne and boasts over 130 businesses selling a wide range of fresh foods, clothing and household items.

If you are in St Kilda on the weekend, you will be able to enjoy the Esplanade Market which is held every Sunday. The market is home to a variety of stalls; including local arts and crafts, handcrafted gifts, souvenirs, apparel, fabric and many more items.

There are also a number of night markets, weekend markets and pop up markets scattered throughout the CBD and in the outer suburbs.
