The Big Design Market is a huge 3 day design expo which brings customers over 230 stalls of homewares, fashion, furniture and kids products.
Held at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton Gardens, this expo is held in the lead up to Christmas, making it the perfect place to shop for those last minute Christmas gifts.

During the expo, patrons will be treated to a huge range of creative workshops, as well as introduce a range of independent Australian designers who will be showcasing their designs as well as a range of well-known and trusted designers who will be showcasing their newest products.
There will be plenty for the kids to do as well, as there will be a dedicated kids area for them to play and get creative whilst you take a break from shopping. There will also be plenty of food, coffee and sweets stalls as well as a cocktail bar and specialty tea stall.
If you are interested in participating in some of the workshops, tickets can be purchased online prior to the event, or on the day of the workshop, unless sold out.
Get to the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton via tram #86 or #96 and alight at the corner of Nicholson and Gertrude Streets. Alternatively, you can catch the free City Circle tram to Victoria Parade or take the city loop train and alight at Parliament Station. Enter the venue via Nicholson St entrance doors or the main entrance located opposite the Melbourne Museum. Parking is also available at the Melbourne Museum undercover car park via Rathdowne Street or Nicholson Street.
