Every year, the citizens of Melbourne celebrate a number of multicultural festivals around the city; including the ever popular Chinese New Year, the Summer Latin Festival and the Viva Victoria Multicultural Festival.

This festive celebration takes place in March every year at Federation Square, with an aim to strengthen the bond between the various ethnic communities of Melbourne.

Tens of thousands of visitors come together every March to celebrate this special event, with people of all nationalities and origins gathering to enjoy the day’s festivities.

This spectacular event offers live music & entertainment, workshops, art shows, craft stalls, food options and special activities at the Kids Zone. Here, kids of all ages can enjoy face painting, activities and games.

The Viva Victoria Multicultural Festival is considered a key event that promotes and celebrates the wonderful cultural diversity of Melbourne and Victoria.

Over the past few years, the festival has been a tremendous success. Apart from the various entertainment and activity choices, the festival features delicious food from all parts of the world. There is also an exhibition of short films, focusing on the cultural diversity and the multicultural society that makes up Australia.
