Parkdale Beach

Parkdale Beach is located between Mordialloc and Mentone Beaches, 25 kilometres to the south-east of Melbourne

Popular for swimming, surfing and fishing, this is a popular beach for locals and visitors to this part of Melbourne.

Swimming & Surfing at Parkdale Beach, Cafe Kiosk & Beach Road Parking

Parkdale Beach is well known as the home of the Parkdale Life Saving Club which was founded in 1922. Today, the surf life saving club still remains and most swimmers tend to swim right near the club as this is the safest spot along the beach. Swimmers should avoid the rocky areas as there are deep rip holes located here.

For surfers, the beach faces south-west and therefore is exposed to south-westerly winds which create wind waves up to 2 metres in height. For those wanting to fish, head to the rocky sections which are the most populous areas.

There is parking on Beach Road and a cafe on site. The Parkdale Beach cafe and Kiosk has great views of the beach and serves up delicious breakfasts and lunches 7 days per week. Enjoy a hot coffee, cold drink or something more substantial. They also have a kids menu and sweet treats for a great afternoon tea.

So come and take a drive down to Parkdale Beach for a great day out with friends and family.
