Melbourne Information Centre-Tours, Tourist Attractions & Things to Do
Whether you are looking for information on events or activities, the friendly information officers will be able to help you find the information you need.
You will find heaps of information on Melbourne’s public transport system and timetables, fun activities both within Melbourne and in the surrounding suburbs as well as information on attractions such as opening hours and ticket prices.
You can also find out some information on the history of Melbourne and the many landmarks located throughout the city as well as maps of the CBD and greater Victoria. There is also a tour booking service and souvenir shop.
Apart from the main information centre located at Federation Square, you will also find information centres in Bourke Street Mall and Fitzroy Gardens. These are stocked with maps and guides and are staffed by friendly volunteers with detailed knowledge about the Melbourne CBD and the outer suburbs.
Also, if you have a quick question that does not require a visit to the information centre, keep your eyes peeled for the City Ambassadors located in various street locations in the city centre around Bourke and Swanston Streets. These volunteers wear bright red shirts and will be able to answer all of your questions about directions, trams, trains and landmarks around Melbourne.
