Royal Park is stretched over 181 hectares, which makes it the largest inner-city park in Melbourne – located just 4kms from the northern end of the Melbourne CBD.
Those driving to the park should drive north from the CBD up Royal Parade to the suburb of Parkville.
Royal Park Walking Track & Zoo Parkville, Melbourne
The beautifully maintained native garden features a range of native trees, a wide array of flowering shrubs, timbered areas and grassland. Trees inside the park include eucalyptus, timbered trees, casuarinas and acacias.
Families will love coming to Royal Park as there is a lot to see, do and enjoy here. Come here during a day and enjoy flying a kite with your children. During the summer months, visitors can also enjoy evening walks and gaze into the night sky.
You’ll also be pleased to know that the Melbourne Zoo is just next door!
Hello I want to ask if the park will be open tomorrow Sat 24?
We want to play soccer at the evening but we know that some parks are closed because the F1.
Thanks
Hi Roberto,
Royal Park should be open as normal as the F1 is located in a different part of Melbourne. I am not aware of any plans to close the park down tonight.
Have a great time!
