Royal Park

Royal Park is stretched over 181 hectares, which makes it the largest inner-city park in Melbourne – located just 4kms from the northern end of the Melbourne CBD.

Those driving to the park should drive north from the CBD up Royal Parade to the suburb of Parkville.

Royal Park offers an array of recreational and sporting facilities for its visitors including golf, football, tennis, soccer, baseball, cricket, netball and hockey facilities. In addition, there is a 5km cycling and walking track that surrounds the park.

The beautifully maintained native garden features a range of native trees, a wide array of flowering shrubs, timbered areas and grassland. Trees inside the park include eucalyptus, timbered trees, casuarinas and acacias.

Families will love coming to Royal Park as there is a lot to see, do and enjoy here. Come here during a day and enjoy flying a kite with your children. During the summer months, visitors can also enjoy evening walks and gaze into the night sky.
