Heidelberg is a residential suburb located 13 kilometres north-east from Melbourne’s CBD. What was once a vast town located on the outskirts of the city, the suburb was integrated into Melbourne following the region’s expansion after the Second World War.
Heidelberg was settled as early as 1835 and, today, has grown to be a large multicultural residential suburb with plenty of amenities for residents.

Transport in Heidelberg still largely revolves around the use of private cars. However, there are public transport options including train services from the Heidelberg railway station via the Hurstbridge line as well as local bus routes.
