When it comes to theatres in Melbourne, the National Theatre comes is high on the the list. This theatre was originally built in 1921 and during the early 1970s, became a performance venue. Another popular and historic theatre in the city is the Princess Theatre – built in 1886. Today, the Princess Theatre hosts some of the hottest shows in Melbourne.
