Merri Creek Labyrinth

The Merri Creek Labyrinth was created by the local community in 2002 and is located just off the Merri Creek walking and cycling trail in Clifton Hill.

You can access the Merri Creek Labyrinth via Wright Street or Ramsden Street in Clifton Hill. Walk slightly left down towards the creek and you will see it along the banks of the river.

The Merri Creek Trail is popular with walkers, runners and cyclists and attracts thousands of visitors each year. The labyrinth is a great place to sit and have a rest after taking a long walk along the trail.

Made of bluestone, the labyrinth is maintained via a community effort a few times per year and has become a much-loved landmark of Clifton Hill.

Why not take a picnic down to the Merri Creek Labyrinth for a quiet day out by the creek. There are no picnic tables here, but simply bring a rug and enjoy the serene surroundings.

To get here via public transport, take a train on the Hurstbridge or South Morang lines and alight at the Clifton Hill train station. The labyrinth is only a short 10-minute walk from the station.
