There are two large playgrounds and one small playground which is great for those visiting with kids. You will find slides, ladders, swings, sandpit, firepmans pole, bridge, monkey bars and flying fox.
Bring a picnic, as there are a number of electric BBQ’s and picnic shelters located throughout the park and are available to the public on a first come first served basis. On the Victoria Street side, there are no less than 14 picnic tables underneath shade.
For those wanting to walk or run, there are plenty of interconnecting pathways. For cyclists, there are two main routes: Route to Box Hill: 5.2km (on road) and the Ruffey Creek Trail: 2.1km. Dogs are permitted in the park (with only a few excepted areas) and there are a number of off leash areas which are noted in the image below.
If coming to the park with kids, take the Ruffey Lake Park Walk which starts at the Boulevarde playground carpark. The walk covers 3.5kms and takes around 1.5 hours to complete. The grade is easy and is suitable for those with prams. Dogs are welcome.
There are also toilets located in the park as well as drinking fountains and carparks located at The Boulevard, Church Road North and Victoria Street.
