The District Docklands 01

The District Docklands

In line with current Australian Government advice, cinemas, gyms and indoor sporting venues, as well as pubs, entertainment venues and night clubs are closed. Beauty, massage, tanning, nail and waxing salons, tattoo parlours and spas are closed. Hairdressers and barbershops are open, with the provision that the “one person per four square metre” rule applies. Food court retailers are permitted to operate takeaway and delivery services for customers, however food court seating areas are closed. Some of the other restaurant and cafe retailers are also providing takeaway, if they can.

The District Docklands (formerly Harbour Town Shopping Centre) is one of the city’s major shopping areas. This waterfront shopping promenade is home to major fashion outlets, sporting good stores and specialty shops; featuring over 180 outlet stores.

Additionally, guests can enjoy a range of quality dining options at The District Docklands. Don’t miss this ultimate shopping, dining and entertainment destination while visiting Melbourne.

The District Docklands, Harbour Town Melbourne Shopping Centre Hours

The Harbourtown redevelopment was completed in 2017 and sees the Docklands-based shopping centre relaunch as The District Docklands – Melbourne’s newest shopping, entertainment, dining and fresh food precinct.

Tourists will be excited to know that they can catch the Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle to reach The District Docklands – complementary for all visitors.

The District Dockland’s 41,000 square metres of retail space offers a vast range of shops and stores to explore. Guests will find a mixture of regional and international brands over its 70 specialty stores and 120 outlets.

After spending a few hours shopping, sit back and relax at a waterfront café or enjoy al-fresco dining in one of the many restaurants. The District Docklands is next to the water, so the restaurants love to showcase the delicious seafood that Australia has to offer.

Drawing inspiration from Melbourne’s iconic laneways and distinctive culture, The District Docklands has been transformed into a new, distinctly Docklands precinct intended to provide an urban oasis and a vibrant new village for Melburnians on the edge of the CBD.
