Elwood Beach may not be the best beach in Melbourne, but it’s certainly one of the most popular family-friendly destinations – located just a short drive from the CBD.

Once you reach Elwood, just take the foreshore walk to access the swimming beach.

Families will be happy to know that the area includes children’s playgrounds, cafe and restaurant. Alternatively, visitors can enjoy cycling, walking and picnicking at this serene beach.

Elwood is located in one of the most beautiful Melbourne suburbs; with visitors of all ages often exploring this beach and nearby attractions.

If you walk around Elwood, you’ll notice beautiful mansions, quaint homes and Edwardian Cottages– with some of these buildings dating way back to the 1890s.
