Horse Riding Melbourne & Mornington Peninsula Trail Rides

Many day trip destinations from the city offer excellent settings for horseback riding. Riders will be excited to know that they will find lush landscapes, windswept beaches, hilly terrain and rolling green fields. Stop by some scenic vantage points or some nature spots to experience wildlife watching and sightseeing. Horseback riding tours also include excursions to some of Victoria’s best wineries, vineyards and excellent natural sites.

A horse riding tour is suitable for all experience levels and beginners are welcome. You will be given a horse that suits your skill and there are horses that suit a slow walk to a trot, or a canter for those who are advanced.

The Bush Track tour is perfect for families or those with younger children (youngest age is 6yrs) as you will be taken on a leisurely ride through the bush on a well-worn track. You will be accompanied by a guide and horse expert who can assist you with how to control the horse and may also be able to teach you how to get your horse up to a trot.

There are other tours which start on the beach and end in the bush. You will start with a scenic ride along the beautiful St. Andrew’s Beach. You will be able to take your horse over sand dunes and into the water on this scenic ride. Children are welcome but must be at least 10 years of age.

Make sure to wear jeans or long pants and enclosed shoes. You are welcome to bring a camera and take as many photos as you like. For the safety of horses, you must be under 95kgs to ride. Transfers are not included so you must make your own way to the tour site.
