The Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre is an excellent shopping destination if you are visiting Forest Hill, one of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

The 3-level sub-regional centre is fully enclosed to ensure that you have a seamless shopping experience and houses a range of retail and fresh food outlets.

Anchor tenants at Forest Hill include Coles, Woolworths and Aldi from where you can get groceries and Target, Harris Scarfe, Big W, Best and Less where you can get clothing and everyday household items. Additionally, there are more than 80 specialty stores on location for your convenience.

You will find Australia Post, hairdressers, a florist, chemist, news agency, optometrist (OPSM & Spec Savers), bank, car and auto services, liquor stores and sports and electronic stores. There is also a large Hoyts Cinema showcasing the newest blockbusters.

A trip to Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre is incomplete without some good food. Enjoy a great dining experience in the ambience of the expansive food court where you can grab a sandwich, sushi, Chinese, fish and chips, a burger or just a coffee and a cake.

Some of the services available at the centre include wheelchairs available for hire, accessible bathroom facilities, a well-equipped parent’s room as well as different ATMs for your shopping convenience. You can also buy gift cards from select stores. There are over 3500 parking spaces which are free of charge.

To get to Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre via public transport, take a train from Flinders Train Station on the Belgrave or Lilydale Lines and get off at Nunawading. Walk 2kms down Springvale Road.

    • Hi Margeret,

      The official information from the shopping centre seems to be limited at this point with no formal information on their website or Facebook page (likely they will do this on the week prior).

      A few individual stores do however have information on their own websites, so if TerryWhite Chemmart and Specsavers is anything to go by, it looks like the trading hours on Melbourne Cup Day will be similar to that of a Sunday.

      So the main hours will be 10am – 5pm, but some stores will have their own individual hours.

      Friday 14 April (Good Friday) Closed
      Saturday 15 April 9am – 5pm
      Sunday 16 April (Easter Sunday) 10am – 5pm
