St Kilda Sea Baths

The St Kilda Sea Baths is a much-loved attraction in Melbourne and are located on Melbourne’s most famous beach along the St. Kilda foreshore.

With a gymnasium, sea water pool and day spa located on site, as well as restaurants and cafes located nearby, it is a great place to come and relax whilst in Melbourne.

The most distinct feature about these baths is that the water is pumped directly from the Port Phillip Bay. The fresh seawater undergoes purification in massive tanks before it is heated and enjoyed by swimmers.

There are many facilities located inside the sea baths including a heated 25-metre pool, hydrotherapy spa pool, unisex aromatherapy steam room and a lounge area with views of Port Phillip Bay. There are swimming programs offered for both children and adults.

The baths also offer a day spa where you can enjoy a massage or facial in their modern treatment rooms. Couples massages are also available for those looking for a special romantic treat and remedial massages are also available for those looking to treat body or joint pain.

The baths also house a gym which is popular with residents of St. Kilda and the surrounding suburbs. The centre offers state-of-the-art cardio and weights equipment as well as group classes and personal training sessions.

You can get to the St Kilda Sea Baths via a tram from the Melbourne CBD. Simply catch a tram #3/3a, #16 or #96 tram and alight at stop 136. If driving, there are over 400 off road car parks available at the Baths. Enter from Jacka Boulevard.
