Latin Summer Festival

Every year, the citizens of Melbourne celebrate the Latin Summer Festival. This is a free event that welcomes the Latin communities and Australians to get together and enjoy the Latin culture; including music, dance and art.

Furthermore, this event includes parades, exhibitions, stalls, as well as plenty of other entertainment.

Latin Summer Festival Melbourne – 2020 Dates, Location & Ticket Price

This annual festival offers a range of activities for guests; including the opportunity to take part in Latin dance sessions and singing. A number of local Latin restaurants also participate and sponsor the event.

There will be plenty of roving performers around the festival and there will be plenty of Latin music performances including salsa, cumbias, samba, capoeira, batucada as well as DJ’s and outdoor dance classes where everyone is welcome to come and join in for free!

Don’t forget to try all the traditional and authentic food at many of the onsite food stalls with Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Brazilian represented.

The event features traditional costumes, dances, celebrations and brings together Melbourne’s rich and diverse culture. The event draws in thousands of people each year and highlights some of the key social, environmental and cultural issues in Latin America.

To get to the event, hop on a train and alight at Flinders Street Station. Kings Domain is only a short 1km walk down St. Kilda Road. Turn left into the gardens once you reach the National Gallery of Victoria. Alternatively, take a tram down St. Kilda Road and alight at stop number 16.
