The week-long Melbourne International Jazz Festival week features an excellent line-up with more than 100 unique jazz performances by top artists and performers.
Popular venues like Hamer Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, Lido Jazz Room and the Monash University Music Auditorium are just some of the many the venues for this event; attracting thousands of fans from all across the country to watch the artists in action.
Melbourne International Jazz Festival 2022 Dates & Program Schedule
The Melbourne International Jazz festival was first held in 1998, with a number of volunteers also join the management team to help manage and organise the event. Interested individuals are always welcome to be a part of this event, as it promotes all forms of jazz music. Novice jazz bands and musicians are always welcome to participate and showcase their talents.
Previous festivals celebrated the icons of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong with performances by Bill Frisell, Patti Austin, James Morrison and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Hamer Hall on opening night. Three-time Grammy Award-winning artists Dianne Reeves also performed at the festival at Hamer Hall. There will be many performances scheduled, with a number of free events.
