Craigieburn

Craigieburn is a residential suburb located 26 kilometres north from the Melbourne CBD, with its local government managed by the City of Hume.

The rapidly growing suburb spans from Mount Ridley to Bridgewater Road. In addition to this, the suburb’s altitude (200 metres above sea level) affords panoramic views of Melbourne’s skyline.

One of Craigieburn’s most iconic natural features is Mount Ridley from where visitors get to enjoy scenic views of the region. Visiting the hilltop reserve is worth every minute of the hike with rewarding views at the summit.

Outdoor adventures are not all there is to Craigieburn as there are lots of sports and recreation opportunities. Golfers get to enjoy the game at any of the golf clubs available: Craigieburn Public Golf Course, Willmott Park Golf club and the Craigieburn Golf Club.

The Craigieburn Leisure Centre is a popular recreational spot for the locals. It features a well-equipped gym, a heated indoor pool as well as a cafe. There are also sports facilities on location including squash courts, basketball courts and a netball court.

Craigieburn Central is the go-to place for all your shopping needs. The mall has numerous specialty stores, Big W, Target, a Cinema and supermarkets including Coles and Woolworths. You will also find a Liquorland, Australia Post, Pharmacy, as well as many take away food stores.

Craigieburn has a reliable public transport network serviced by the Craigieburn Train Line which stops at Craigieburn Station as well as frequent buses on routes 528, 529, 532, 533 and 544.
