Ringwood Melbourne VIC, Eastland Shops, Hotel & Motel Accommodation

Ringwood was developed in the late 19th century as, prior to this, the region was largely used for agricultural purposes. The construction of the railway line that cuts through the region opened up Ringwood to significant developments. Over the years, the suburb has since grown exponentially to include different stores and industries on location.

One of the most iconic landmarks in the suburb is the Ringwood Clock Tower that was constructed in 1928 after the war. This memorial stands tall and is today a key attraction in the suburb. Ringwood is also home to the Cadbury Chocolate Factory, which means that locals and visitors get to enjoy some of the most decadent chocolate products at any of the sweet spots scattered across the suburb.

For shopping, head over to Eastland Shopping Centre which offers ample free parking spaces as well as easy access to Ringwood train station. Eastland features a Kmart, Big W, Safeway, Coles, Harris Scarfe, as well as a Hoyts Cinema. All in all, the shopping centre is home to some of the country’s most loved retail stores, homeware shops, fashion brands and specialty stores.

Ringwood is well serviced by public transport, with Ringwood Train Station located in the centre of the suburb. Serviced regularly by the Belgrave and Lilydale line, the train from the Melbourne CBD to Ringwood leaves every 6 minutes in peak times and takes around 40 minutes.

For a suburb that has developed so quickly over the years, Ringwood is a destination worth visiting. If you are looking for accommodation in or around Ringwood, click the links below to find the nearest hotels and Motels.
