Wellness Walk and Research Run 2024, Date, Prices, Course, Melbourne

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre is committed to delivering the best in research, patient care, and world-leading wellness and supportive care programs. They put their patients at the heart of everything they do. This includes focusing on their mind and spirit, not just their bodies.

This year, the 5km walk will be held again in one of Olivia’s favourite spots in Melbourne — the Tan and the beautiful Alexandra Gardens.

Olivia would want it to be a day of joy and positivity, so invite your friends, family and coworkers and show your support for Olivia and those with cancer together.

We recommend you purchase your tickets early, as history tells us that the participants who purchase them early are more likely to reach their fundraising target!

Please arrive at least one hour before your wave starts to allow plenty of time to check in, collect and write on your race bib, walk around the village, and participate in the warmup.

The course is approximately 5.5km long and will start and finish at Engineers Lawn, Alexandra Gardens, and take in Melbourne’s famous Tan Track.

Wave times commence from 9:15am with a new wave starting every 30 minutes. Your race bib will indicate which wave you have entered. Please listen to the announcements from the MC regarding warm-up at the stage and marshalling at the start line.

Located in Alexandra Gardens, there are many transportation options available. If you wish to drive, plenty of car parking is available around Southbank and the CBD. Tram numbers 3, 5, 6, 8, 12, 64, 67 & 72 all travel down St Kilda Road, so disembark at the Arts Centre, cross the road and walk towards Alexandra Gardens. The nearest train station is Flinders Street Railway Station.
