Camberwell is a suburb in Melbourne, located just 10 kilometres from the CBD. The suburb’s boundaries are generally marked by three key roads, namely Warrigal Rd, Burke Rd and Toorak Rd. The suburb’s local government area is the City of Boroondara.

One of the most popular features of this suburb is the iconic Burke Road shopping strip that stretches for about half a kilometre along Burke Road and includes the Camberwell Junction.

Art lovers will appreciate the Rotary Sunday Market held weekly, between 6.30am and 12.30pm every Sunday. This market is home to stalls that stock just about everything, from art pieces to fashion, crafts and home treasures amongst others. Well Shopping Centre is the suburb’s only shopping centre. It houses popular outlets including JB HiFi, Coles and Dymocks. There is also a fitness centre on location for gym enthusiasts.

The iconic Rivoli Cinemas are a must visit when in Camberwell with the cinema first opening in 1940 and is considered to be one of the historical gems of the suburb. The cinema was refurbished in 2000 and shows all the latest release films.

Camberwell has a reliable public transport network that includes trains, trams and buses. The train stations are some of the most well served in Melbourne as three different train lines run through Camberwell station: Lilydale, Belgrave and Alamein. There are also bus routes that service the suburb, including routes 285, 612 and 968. Tram routes 70, 72 and 75 serve different parts of the suburb as well. Access so this impressive public transport network is one of the reasons that Camberwell is such a popular place to live.
