Melbourne has also a free tourist bus shuttle service for all visitors to the city. This free hop-on and hop-off shuttle is popularly known as the ‘Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle’. The bus stops at a number of locations that include a number of the major tourist attractions around the city.

The Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle complements the popular City Circle Tram, with the shuttle route including 13 different stops around Melbourne.

Some of the popular bus stops include the Arts Precinct, Sports Precinct, Federation Square, Chinatown, the Museum district, Carlton Gardens and the Queen Victoria Market. Other stops also include Waterfront city, riverfront stops, and the Botanic Gardens that includes the Shrine.

The bus runs every 15 minutes daily from 10am to 4pm, with every passenger receiving a coloured map with details of the stops along the route. Visitors should consider taking the bus early in the day, as it is often crowded during the peak times.
