One of the most popular attractions along Brighton Beach is Brighton Bathing Boxes which are located along Dendy Street Beach. They constitute one of Melbourne’s most colourful attractions and are one of the most photographed attractions in Melbourne.

You will find parkland bordering the beach, which is a great place to enjoy a picnic if you want to avoid the sand. Other services available at Brighton Beach include a cafe and restaurant, a gym as well as function facilities ideal for events.

For dog lovers, there is also a dog-friendly beach just north of Brighton Beach along Sandown Street. Dogs are permitted off-leash at all times along the rock foreshore areas between Sandown Street and Bay Street.

Brighton Beach is easily accessible by train via the Sandringham line and the #64 tram also runs past the beach as it travels from Melbourne University to Brighton East.
