Australia’s premier competitive DanceSport event celebrates 74 years this December and graces a brand-new stage at Melbourne Park’s Margaret Court Arena.
The all-new intimate setting will draw audiences closer to the action for a jam-packed three days of thrilling competitive dance and athleticism.

As one of the key DanceSport events on the international circuit, the Championship provides Australian athletes with the opportunity to compete against globally-recognised contenders.
Dancers of all ages and abilities will vie for the 2020 Australian titles in Standard (Ballroom), Latin American and New Vogue styles – across a range of divisions. Winners of World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) events will earn the opportunity to represent Australia at all World Championships in 2020.
Following the enormous success of the inaugural Para Dance Competition in 2020, Victorian para-athletes will take to the stage for the very first time to compete against West Australians in a range of Standard and Latin American styles, on Friday 6 December.
Eight-time world DanceSport champions and real-life married couple, Bjorn Bitsch and Ashli Williamson, will treat Australian audiences to astounding performances on Saturday and Sunday. The couple currently holds 19 Danish DanceSport titles as well as multiple world records, certifying them the most successful couple in the history of global DanceSport.
