During the festival celebrations, there are a number of food stalls which cater to guests throughout the two-day weekend event. You will find an array of delicious traditional Vietnamese foods and with so much on offer, you won’t have any trouble finding your favourite dish.
Throughout the weekend, there is also a range of fantastic live entertainment, cultural exhibits, amusement rides and games, children’s activities and a spectacular fireworks display to usher in the Lunar New Year.
The official proceedings will commence at 2pm on Saturday the 16th of January on the main stage where there will be an official opening and welcome as well as performances. Throughout the festival, there will be a range of live entertainment on the main stage on both Saturday and Sunday. Dragon dances and firecrackers will be also going off at various times during the festival. This is part of an ancient tradition to welcome in the new year by making loud noises to scare away bad spirits of the old year.
The Tet Lunar New Year Festival is the best way to spend a summer weekend in town, so bring your family and friends and celebrate the lunar New Year at this fun cultural event. Patrons should also note that this is a cash only event.
